General Motors

To help achieve its vision of a future with zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion, GM's philanthropic investments focus on inclusive and sustainable solutions to common social issues. In 2021, General Motors provided $86.7 million in cash and in-kind donations to nonprofits working to create inclusive solutions worldwide. This includes $46 million in grantmaking to support a portfolio of 364 U.S.-based nonprofit projects. Over the last five years, GM has made philanthropic contributions totaling $143 million toward STEM Education, Vehicle & Road Safety, Community Development, and Climate Equity in the communities in which they live and work. Locally, GM employees have raised more than $520,000 in 11 years to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. In July 2022, the General Motors plant in Fort Wayne announced grants to seven nonprofits totaling $150,000 – Boys and Girls Club of Greater Fort Wayne, Community Transportation Network, Greater Fort Wayne, Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana, Little River Wetlands, United Way of Allen County, Purdue Fort Wayne College of Engineering. Since 2019, GM has donated $500,000 to support the Greater Fort Wayne area.
